Purchasing a Peter Law Painting:
There are two types of paintings available - Open Edition and Limited Edition
Limited Edition - refers to a run of reproductions which have an imposed edition size. This is imposed by the artist/publisher, and may range in size from a few to several hundred or a thousand, etc. Limited editions will also bear the signature of the artist, in addition to the one already printed in the reproduction from the original painting. The limited edition will also have a fraction recorded next to the artist's signature, indicating its position in the run (in the edition). For example, 25 over 100 indicates that this print is number 25 in a limited edition of 100.
Open Edition - refers to a run of prints which may bear the additional signature of the artist, but will not have a number, because there is no limit to the run (there is no edition size).
